Fractional partnership advisory —
embedded, not occasional
I work with a small number of ventures at any given time — not as a consultant who delivers a report and leaves, but as a fractional executive inside the leadership team. This page describes how that actually works. For the catalogue of engagements and pricing, see the Services page.
Start a Conversation → See Services →How engagements run
01 · Selection
The first conversation costs nothing and commits to nothing. It establishes whether there is a real fit — between your venture and what I can do well. Roughly one in three first conversations becomes an engagement; the rest find a better home, with my recommendation.
02 · Start where the bottleneck is
Most engagements begin in the Diagnose lane — a 48-hour Growth Bottleneck Identifier, a Fab Day, or an Information Governance Readiness review — before committing to a longer Build or Embed engagement. This isn’t a sales funnel. It is how I make sure scope matches reality before either of us spends a quarter on the wrong problem.
03 · Embedded delivery
Build and Embed engagements run from inside your leadership team, not from outside. I attend partner meetings, lead governance committees, write the framework documents, share accountability for outcomes. One to two days a week, usually. Not a deck-and-leave model.
04 · Cadence
Weekly Alignment Meeting with the leadership sponsor. Monthly board-level update where relevant. Quarterly review against the partnership architecture and the KPIs we set at the start.
05 · Exit
Every engagement has an exit point built in from week one. The goal is to leave behind a partnership operating system your team owns — not to make myself indefinitely necessary.
The five principles
Five principles act as decision filters across every engagement. They are not decoration. If we work together, you will see them shape every conversation, agenda, and framework we build.
- Partnerships over transactions — relationships that compound; reject deals that don’t.
- Embedding over advising — inside the team, sharing accountability; not outside, delivering reports.
- Adventure over comfort — meaningful work happens at the edge of what is known.
- Presence over performance — show up fully; don’t perform competence.
- Growth through discomfort — the work that matters is the work that’s hard.
Coaching, where it happens, happens inside this frame — as part of an embedded engagement, occasionally taken into the field where outdoor environments become direct learning contexts for decision-making, risk, and team dynamics. It is not a standalone service.
Who this is for
- Ventures at seed or Series A serious about building through relationships, not transactions.
- Leadership teams and boards who want governance frameworks, FabCube Base, C1–C4, Partnership Stage Gate, Impact-Driven Cyber Governance, delivered and embedded by the person who built them.
- International ventures entering the UK with credibility.
- Organisations expanding into European mountain territories, where I have deep personal and professional networks.
Who this isn’t for
- Founders looking for introductions without governance.
- Boards looking for advisory cover without accountability.
- Anyone who needs a deck-and-leave consultant, there are plenty of good ones; that isn’t me.
Ready to build something
worth building?
I take on a small number of active engagements at any time. When the calendar is full, the calendar is full. Currently considering new engagements for Q4 2026.
Tell me about your venture in a short note. If there’s a fit, we’ll find it quickly.
